Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) sytems are required by HSC regulations to be checked every 12-14 months by a competent individual to ensure it works well and continues to protect your employees. There are some LEV systems (such as those controlling more high-hazard processes) which will require more frequent thorough examination and testing. The COSHH Regulations require more frequent testing for such processes. Vent Tech NI can perform thorough examination on the LEV against the performance recorded in your commissioning report. It will include check on control effectiveness, airflow and pressure measurements and, possibly, exposure measurement. If you don’t possess the design performance data, you will not be aware whether your system is working correctly or not, so you may need to have your system commissioned.
